Murderer sentenced to 43 years
20 February 2013
James was found guilty of murdering his grandmother and uncle in Cradock Street in July, last year.
"The incident that shocked everyone in Actonville has come to the end," said police spokesman Capt Mack Mngomezulu.
When the police arrived at the scene then, they found both the deceased in pools of blood in separate rooms.
The gardener, who was staying at the same premises, was rushed to the hospital after he was badly attacked by James.
The motive for the killing is still unknown.
"He received 19 years for each murder, and five years more for attempted murder for attacking the gardener," said Mngomezulu.
He attributed the success of closing the case to teamwork between the police and the CPF.
