Dead woman found under a bush

An elderly woman has been found dead outside 19 Kelvin Road, Bramley. Police are on the scene.

According to a source, who wanted to remain anonymous, the woman was found by a truck driver who had parked near the house.

“Apparently he was about to step out of his truck when he noticed a woman under a bush,” said the man.

Police were taking statements from the driver and neighbours.

The deceased lived at Student Village, up the road from where she was found.

Police are investigating the matter. “We don’t know if it was suicide, murder or a natural death,” said police spokesman warrant officer Moses Maphakela.
