Polygraph training has been available in South Africa since 1998, however there are only a few qualified polygraph examiners in private practice.

A partnership between a black consortium and Polygraph Services SA has identified a need to have more black people trained as examiners. It was felt that more black people in South Africa be given an opportunity to train in the field that was previously not accessible due to the high costs involved.

Polygraph Services South Africa is looking for 18 suitable underprivileged people from around South Africa between the ages of 18 to 50 with a matric.
The participants will be offered an opportunity to undergo a two-month polygraph course with all costs paid for in Johannesburg.
On completion of the course, Polygraph Services South Africa will offer a  mentorship programme.
